Our GP Practice Flu vaccinations are being delivered differently this year as we are delivering them alongside the Covid Booster vaccine at two dedicated vaccination centres in Sutton which are:
· The Thomas Wall Centre – 52 Benhill Avenue Sutton SM1 4DP
· Wallington Old Town Hall – Woodcote Road, Wallington SM6 0NB
You may be wondering when you will be called for your flu or covid vaccination. We can tell you that we are delivering the flu and covid booster vaccinations in order of ‘risk’, starting with our oldest or most extremely clinically vulnerable patients first and working our way down to our patients aged over 50. There is one issue that may mean you have to wait longer than you would like to be invited for vaccination – 180 days must have passed since the patient received their second vaccination.
This week (25 October-30 October) we are offering flu vaccinations to the last of our over 65s and some under 65s as well as offering Covid Booster vaccinations to our over 70s where 180 days have passed since their second vaccination, especially those who have had their flu vaccination.
Next week we will begin offering Covid and Flu vaccinations together for patients aged 65-70 years. Please bear with us while we work through the age groups and risk groups. We are vaccinating as quickly as safe as it can be done and we will either message you so you can self-book or call you to invite you in for vaccination in the next few weeks.
If you just want a flu vaccination please attend Wallington Old Town Hall any Tuesday between 2pm and 6pm as a walk in patient or Thomas Wall Centre any Friday between 2pm and 6pm as a walk in patient and you will be vaccinated.Leave a reply
